The Little Studio Art Class taster session was held last week at the Marylebone Village Nursery School. It was a popular event and Kirsten (who runs the classes) has sent us a note and a great picture from the session - see below.
The classes seem like a great way to let the children have some creative fun, and make some mess (and have someone else do the clearing up - sorry Kirsten!). "We had a really enjoyable and busy taster session. Children alongside their parents and carers made some beautiful caterpillar collages and lots of abstract works too!. We also had flour drawing, making shakers, and some printing. It was a great pleasure to meet so many budding Marylebone artists! Children took home artwork and some delicious chocolate cake that was kindly donated by Nordic Bakery, New Cavendish Street for our session. I'm looking forward to starting the art course next week. The theme for the term is 'Spring into Summer' Each week we'll have a different topic relating to the theme for example Growing, Summer in the city, Matisse’s Snail, Bees, bugs and butterflies, Seaside, Starry nights. Our sessions offer the opportunity for 1 - 3 year olds to explore materials and their own creativity alongside the parent/carer with the supervision of an experienced art tutor. We have ten sessions in total. Course fee is: £90. For any more information please call Kirsten on 07855 6165353 or email info@makes.org.uk."
