Coffee Morning - this Friday 1st May 10.45am
I will be hosting a coffee morning this Friday from 10.45am
Please let me know if you would like to come along - email firstname.lastname@example.org for the venue.
Coffee/tea will be provided, but please bring along your own snacks for your little one.
There is some but limited space for prams, so if you can avoid bringing one that would be great!
Mums are also welcome to come along without kids :)
Hope to see you then!
The lovely Gail's has opened on Seymour Place, which has become a great place for dining over the last couple of years. It joins Lockhart, Donostia, Vinoteca, Sandy's, The Portman and Borough Barista.
The family-friendly Gail's store looks deceptively small at the front, but inside there is a large cafe space, with a big area at the back of the shop that I am already eyeing up for future coffee mornings and meet-ups. There are easily accessible baby changing facilities and high chairs. They have wi-fi as well.
The menu changes throughout the day - breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea - plus there is all the lovely bread and cakes that are beautifully displayed in the store that you can choose from too.
Gail's is a great addition to the local area. Welcome!
More local news… Those of you who receive The Portman magazine will have read that we will soon be getting a fishmonger opening here too! Its great to see that the Portman Estate is encouraging businesses that cater to the needs of the local population.
The first Marylebone Mums Coffee Morning will take place this Friday 19th September from 10am-12pm at Perilla Cafe, 75 George Street (between Baker St and Gloucester Place). Feel free to pop along for as long as you want.
An opportunity for those new to the area to meet other mums (and dads), as well as for all mums in the area to connect and share useful info about living in the area, events, parenthood or just generally chat over a coffee (and cake!).
Mums with children of all ages are welcome, as well as mums-to-be and bumps!
Note that there won't be any activities for the children/babies - this is an event for mums to meet - though of course kids are welcome (I will be bringing mine).
Perilla has kindly agreed to host us, so if you could order a coffee and maybe a piece of cake/biscuit, it would be a way to show local businesses that being child-friendly can also be beneficial to them.
